1979 ATC90 Gas Tank

Does anyone know where i can try to get a gastank for a 1979 Honda ATC 90 or 110? Mine is full of rust and stuff, i have replaced the fuel filters too many times, now i just want a new tank. any suggestions?

1978 was the last moedel year for the ATC90. They went to the ATC110 beginning in the 1979 model year. You need to get the correct year if you are planning on restoring it with a tank that had the same graphics for that year.

The factory replacement gastanks from honda have been disconitnued.

There are several companies that offer plastic replacement tanks from 100.00 to 150.00

Good luck in finding a used one that isn't rusted out. I haven't seen a good one in nearly 15 years from the 1970's model three wheelers.

Also keep in mind that a tank from a 1979 to 1982 ATC110 will also fit your machine, but it will have the 110 logo on the side.

 

A friend of mine has used Kream ATC gas tanks. I think it is a 3 stage process of removing the rust, prepping the tank, and then relining the tank. The stuff costs about $35 (?) and is pretty easy to do. He's done a few tanks and I was pretty impressed with the results.

 

thats what we used on the original tank, but not that we finally have new plastic, the tank looks like crap, so i just ordered a new one from Wide Open. $100 for the tank and cap and rubber strap.
