Does anyone have any figures on horsepower on a stock 200x motor? How about a modified motor? I'm thinking of building a 200x quad to race in the local 200cc air cooled class and want a little imput on horsepower before I try to tackle this.

Curious, what races will still let you race 3 wheelers? TT or MX or cross country or ice racing?

I'm not racing it in 3 wheeler form. I was going to build a 200x quad to ride in the 200cc air cooled MX class locally. I just want something a little different than the blaster. I have two of the m and they are nice but.... it isn't a Honda. If I can get about 20 to 25 horsepower out of the motor I am going to build it. Do you have any imput HRC200x? I wish they did have a three wheeler class though. I miss them.

I think in Dirt Wheels they said that you can double the horse by building the engine so that would make it around 24hp. I would give 4 stroke tech or power roll a call. They would have what you need.

How much you want to spend though?

I would say a Blaster motor would be better, but if your set on something different, give Poweroll a call or 4stroke Tech. When I was thinking about building up my old 200X they seemed real cool and had specific packages for the motor.Good luck.

I am willing to spend whatever it takes. I am going to do most of the assembly myself. I like the blaster motor but they have some bottom end issues after you bump up the horsepower. With a four stroke I think I will be able to go longer without bottom end problems. That and the torque will be nice on the some of the smaller tight supercross style tracks here in Ohio. Thanks for your imput.
