no throttle adjuster on chinese carb

Default no throttle adjuster on chinese carb

my dad has 83 Honda 185s and he ordered a Chinese replacement carb.it mounted to the motor fine but there is no throttle cable adjuster on the top of the cap .it just has a hole and rubber boot ,that's it.anybody else run into this?

man i don't quite understand what you're talking about. most throttle cable adjustments are made on the turnbuckle itself or up at the thumb throttle. go along the throttle cable and look for a fat part with a soft rubber boot covering, peel that back and you should see the turnbuckle to adjust the cable.

you'r right jaster,i worded that crazy.what I mean is, the cap is not threaded to recieve the turnbuckle.its just smooth.are we supposed to thread it ourselves or would we need the same brand cable to work with it ?my dad also just recieved a Chinese carb for his 84 Honda 200m and it has the same exact probem.

is there a trick to connecting stock atc throttle cable to Chinese aftermarket carb.please help!!

I have a chinese carb for my 85 200s and it was threaded for the throttle cable cap. I'm not sure what's going on with your stuff. Pictures?
