So I have a 1984 Honda ATC 200ES Big Red (just one of the collection) and I cant seem to get it to run... I'm going crazy trying to figure it out... it was sitting for years and I got a good deal and it had a clean vin so I bought it, figured it's a honda, and you can't kill a honda.
Get it home, first things first, cleaned the carb, it seems to be good, cleaned the petcock and filter in the aftermarket tank. Good. Next I put new fuel line even thought its was I
fine. Exhaust is good. Makes spark (also put a new plug in it). Has great compression and the recoil is smooth as can be.
Now being an old bike and having sat, I figured I'd try and help it get running by putting a little gas into the plug hole and putting the plug back in. Pull and pull and pull and nothing. I cant get it to fire... I refuse to believe that the bike wont run as it's amazingly clean.
Anyone got any idea where to start before I sell it. Even the electric start works minus the engine actually starting. Before washing After washing Not a bad bike
