Well heres the low down. I went to look at and try this 1984 225DXL yamaha 3-wheeler last night. It ran very good elec. start I think it had 5 gears up ,auto clutch, recoil back up, tires are in good shape. Theres a small crack in right rear fender about 5 inches long. Down by your foot This machine was purchased by this guys grandma brand new and she got to old to ride and he got it. I work with this guy and know it's been well taken care of. He said he would like to get 700.00 but because were friends he would take 500.00 But the catch is my wife says it's to dangerous for our 11 year old son who has some riding experince on our trx250x fourtrax. The reason I'm interested in it is the price and my 2 boys good ride togeother. My other boy is 13 and he likes the 4trax.My 11 yr. don't like the 4trax because it has a clutch and he gets to confused on how to shift it and its a kick start. Now for the ? what do you guys think I should do? buy it or not to buy it. and why? and is this model good?

I think it would be a great one for him or even you to ride. When I was that age I had a 185s that I rode all over the place. Just make sure he has a good helmet and show him some of the obvious no-nos of trike riding and he should be fine. $500 isn't a bad price either.
