My TRI-Z that I had was A real stronge runner, and would pull the other two thru fifth but the others were 6-speeds and had a higher top speed. I really like the the looks of the 86-87 tecate3 though.

Way back when I had a 84 or 85 tecate 3 and I was able to beat my buds on their 250Rs and Tri-Zs, but none of us had the same model year. IMO I always thought that the Honda 250r was a better "all around" 3 wheeler.

I didn't know they made a 87' Tri-Z. Are you sure? I know they made a 87' Tecate3 and a 87' HondaATC250R(Canada) but never heard of a 87'Tri-Z.

Just to clarify. Not offending anyone.

The Tri-Z was only made in '85 and '86. Yamaha didn't make any 3 wheelers in '87 period. The '85 model was a 5 speed and the '86 was a 6 speed.

Honda only carried over the 125,200X,250SX, and the 250ES for '87 [then they to died]

Kawasaki only carried over the Tecate in '87
