It's hard to say about 350X's because I don't see that many of them around. 250R's(85-86) in really clean shape go for 2-3K so that's what I'd shoot for. Be prepared for the buyer to "critique" your machine when asking for the higher end of that and be willing to deal because anything that isn't right the buyer is going to have to replace to have a mint ride. Good luck with the sale if that's what you decide to do. I'd just put a big bore on it and go hunt raptors, and call it good.

PS-Where did you get your carrier from, and what did it cost?

350x's where I live are going for around 1800-2500. I also have a brand new carrier in my 350x, there is a lot of companies that make them. Mine is a Magnum brand, I just bot a dirt wheels, and went through all the different ads and found one. It is only 150 dollars. Well hope that I helped!

I had a friend trade a set of small block chevy valve covers for a 86 350x that we had running in about 10 minutes. I wish I could find deals like this. Most excellent condition 350x's bring about $1400-1600 in this area. Near perfect 85-86 250R's bring $1000-$1200. I bought two 85 R's last year, one cost $200 with blown piston but perfect aftermarket plastic, the other was $300 and it has about 20 hours of riding since I rebuilt it when I owned it a couple of years ago. When I originaly bought it, I give $500 at a dealership. Around here, there are 350x's, tri-z, Tecate 3 and 4's, ATCR's, Lt250's, and many other bikes of the mid 80's just sitting in barns and run down sheds collecting dust. I bought my LT this way. I give $750 for it. Ran fine, he just got tired of riding it. I heard it was in this shed and finally found out who owned it.
