200x?????

I think that the 200x is a good machine. You can still get parts for them and they are pretty well suspended in my opinion. Top speed is around 50 to 55. Puts out pretty good power for a 200 but it might not be as fast as a 300ex.

I currently own a 200x, and am working to restore another one. I previously owned a 250x. In my opinion, a 200x is an excellent machine with decent power for a 200cc engine. Suspension is good, as long as the rider is not too large. The 200 is a peppy machine with decent acceleration, however I think saying it would outrun a 250x or 300ex would be a bit of a stretch. I would not hesitate to recommend a 200x to anyone looking for a fun, reliable ride.

The 200x is an excellent bike like everyone else said. My best friend and i had rebuilt 1 '84, 2 '85, and 2 '86 200x trikes. They are a blast and i believe the would keep up with a 300ex. Right now i am building one of the '85 motors with 40 over, 12 to 1 wiseco piston, Web high rev motorcross cam, new valves, heavy valve springs, adjustable cam timing sprocket, and basically everything new. It will not be as fast as our 250r's but will be different and fun to try.

I've owned an 84, 85, 86, 87 200X. These are great beginer, intermediate level sport ATVs. They're easy to ride, start and maintain. I also have a TRX250X and racing around an oval track was about even between the 86, 87 200X and the 250X. If you are looking to buy one I would look for an 86, 87 as close to stock as possible. PS they can lay waste to a Blaster in a drag.
