hey guys, im new to this board and this is my first atv. it was my uncles and he gave it to me fer some help i did fer him, but its a basket case! the rear end bearings has locked up and has been all discombobulated. i need to know what i should do and how to do it. its a shaft driven 3 wheeler and i really dont know what is or isnt good. any help, suggestions, ideas, and info on where to get good parts would be very much appreciated! thanks.

350x is a great bike. (and well respected)

Start taking it apart,,,,,,replace all the parts that look worn,,,,put it back together,,,,,,done.

Its not really that easy,,,,buts its a whole lot of fun.

I doubt that it is a 350x if it is shaft driven. Sounds more like a Big Red you're best bet is to throughly tear it apart and clean everything up and inspect for wore out parts. it will be agiven that bearings,bushings etc. will be wore out! Replace the air filter , oil, oil filter, and drain all the gas, and a new plug! HAVE FUN[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Good bikes and in good condition they will bring $1000 plus. I have three friends that have them. If it is just the bearing in the rear, I would go ahead and fix it. If the ring/pinion is bad, it can be costly and not worth fixing. The cams on those are bad about going out, so I would try to get it running before sticking money in the rear end.

Where is Iberia at?

 

i just bought a complete rear and w/ swing arm and driveshaft fer $200. the thing has been sittin fer about 4 years, but when it was parked it ran very well! iberia is about 25 minutes north of lake of the ozarks. where is advance at? i looked on a map but it wasnt even listed in the index. it isnt one of those towns that has the welcome and good bye signs right across eash other is it?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

I live 5 miles off the highway halfway between the two towns. Look for Cape Girardeau on the map. I am about 20 miles south of it.

 

Hey, this is kinda off topic, but is there anywhere to ride around lake of the ozarks, i go down there alot in the summer and want to bring one of the rides along with me this year.

 

there is not a public place to ride at the lake as far as i know. there may be some private land, but i dont know where it is. i just ordered a complete rear including swingarm and driveshaft fer my 250sx fer $200. i think i got a good deal.
