Default Lights

Hello Fellow Riders,
I have a Honda 200s 3-Wheeler and the head light and tail light burns out as soon as I put a new one in. I have added extra ground wires and checked everything I can think of. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to check out next? Anything will be greatly appreciated!

I was thinkin it might have too big or too high of a fuse, since the fuse should go before the headlight.

Check fues size, but I am leaning to a voltage issue. Chech the voltage and report back.

Are you running a battery?? if so check to see what the voltage is on the battery with the bike off and with it running. It should be around 12 volts not running and 12 -13 at idle and then check what it is with the idle up bout half throtle. It sounds like you have an over voltage prob to me...Rob

Did you solve this problem? I just got a 85 ATC250R, when the peepboy and bought a replacemnet headlight bulb (tail is also out) and hooked it up started the engine and I works, YES, but then when I reved the engine the light got brighter then POP, blown. I has the rear fender off and noticed that one of the 2 wires connected the the voltage regulator was disconnected. The voltage regulator is located next to the frame unter the rear fender near the air box on the 85 250R. If the voltage regulator was disconnnected or "screwed" up it would explain the light getting brighter when the engine is reved........

Just a thought, will get a new buld tonight and let you know...

99% sure it's your voltage regulator. Replace it and I'll bet your bulb issue goes away.

My problem was because the voltage regulator was disconnected. also the connection terminals were corroded so I replaced them also. Works great now...
