the best way to start racing is find a race track & start practicing take it easy for the first few times out roll over the jumps until you get used to it & be confident in yourself single jump until you are confident you can make the double because if you back out & the last minute you more than liking wont like the results. i guarantee you will crash from time to time but you have to get back on & try again.find out hat you have trouble with whoops, jumps, etc. if you have some land build you a set of jumps or whoops to practice on. oh yea make sure you have the protection like helmet, gloves, chest protector, boots, googles, clothing, etc. the more protection the better. the main thing to remember is to ride within your capabilities & have fun. good luck to all of you

Check out www.atvccs.com for cross country. There is a race coming up in Weatherford.
Also www.swanmx.com for LoneStar series mx.
www.occra.com for XC in Okla.
www.tqra.com for MX.
And for the person in Gilmer, they have a XC race at Barnwell Mountain. I think it is WORCS.

Bryan, if you are still interested in racing, the TQRA is having a race Saturday night, Sep. 27th at Four States MX park in Hooks, Texas(just east of Texarkana) and another one on Oct. 5th at Caddo Point in Cash, Tx (just south of Greenville). If you would like to practice, go to Badlands MX Park on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM, $10.00 to practice and there are several quads there every Wed. Quads have there own practice. We should be there this tomorrow night, if you make it look me up, Blue Dodge Pickup and a red 400EX. My son races in the TQRA and we try to practice at Badlands whenever we can.
