Douglas rims are worthless

Predator03, look at the picture in my profile, I am taking about 19-6-10 front Holeshot MX tires on standard .190 rims. The are pumped up to 12 psi, anything lower and they will taco. The kind of riding I do is mostly blasting 80 mph+ down gravel roads, there are some dips in the roads. But nothing that I find remotely abusive, no rocks, I've never even come close to wrecking.
I know the tire profile is low but at this pressure it should be able to handle it.

As I said, the recommended max for the tires is 10 psi. I'm sure I could exceed the max and keep my rims round. However, woth that much pressure, on the MX track not only do you loose traction, you get wheel hop, not to mention when you land it feels like you're riding on rocks.

It all boils down to the fact:: You need to buy parts that are made to handle what you intend to do w/them.
MX requires beadlocks and rings period!
If Mr.karlfly was in the dunes with his wheels, the topic would've been:: Douglas wheels are great!
By the way Mr.Karlfly,,do you have aftermarket shocks? Not that they are required,,just curious.

I dont care what yall say, 190's suck unless they are top dollar rolled edge or reinforced. I rock the stock when it comes to rims, but I do sometimes buy the 190's when I am in a pinch and getting ready for a big weekend instead of mounting the tires myself. Without fail the 190's are done after one weekend and leaking air around the bead.

I've always ran douglas wheels and never have had a problem and I beat the **** out of mine, i have 4 sets and only have to hammer out a bent lip once which was my own fault, i recently bought the new beadlocks they cam out with and think they are great

Are you guys with problems running low profile tires where the rims are closer to the ground. I have always used the taller stock ohstu tire on the front like a 400ex and 250r . Of course I do my best not to hit rocks with the sides of my tires and wheels.

i've ran all types of pressure on mine and i have never bent any but always with holeshots, they say your wheels will bend if the front pressure is under 10 and rears just shouldnt bend really i run 5 lbs but thats with beadlocks and theyre reinforced

on my sandrail i was looking for aluminum rims, i went to a and got some douglas's because i heard some good things about me.. they sold me the blue label instead of the red, we bent them going over whoops!
