too much octain is never bad just a waste of money.

102 for the 12/1
106............12.5/1
110.............13/1

you may be able to run less but with this you'll be safe.

Any thing over 100 for any of those compression ratio's will be fine.

I run 114 octane for my 14.5:1 compression.....

13.5:1 needs 110
13.0:1 needs 108
and anything below that will vary from around the 100 octane, plus or minus...

Just to add a little to your thread,...
My racing season for my car is near an end,and I happen to still have
3/4's of a pail of 114 octane fuel,....and seeing as I'd hate to waste it(teehee) I was wondering if it would cause any problems if it "happened" to fall into my "STOCK" Z400? Probably not, but I thought I'd best check with you guys,.....

Thanks in advance,kyle
