We'll you didn't say what type of tires you ran or if you had a swaybar. You DEFINETELY NEED a swaybar to get to the front of the pack. Also I would have your swingarm shortened about an inch and a half for best traction. Then you need to play with your ride height to get it to hook hardest in the turns. You also need to get your swaybar tuned to hook the left rear tire as hard as possible exiting the turns. Was it a rolling start or dead stop start race? If you have rolling starts like nascar you are o.k. with power but if you start from a dead stop the 250R's are gonna smoke you if all you have is a pipe for power modifications. You will need a big bore 440 kit as well as a cam and bigger carb to get on even ground powerwise with the 2-strokes.

it was from a dead stop. and since i unfortunitly have mx tires since thats what i usually ride, i got almost the best start but got killed it the turns. we raced in 2 different classes. 2 and 4 stroke. i already have a bigger carb and pipe. and plan to get a swaybar and flattrack tires next, andd then go with a cam, ect.
