Is there a difference between GNCC racing and hare scrambles?
ive have been working with a organization(sp?) who is VERY intrested in, and has already started putting together a 7-10 race harescramble series in the NJ and possibly PA(pocono's) area.
one concern they have is rider turn out.
this is probably going to be a quad only series that will not interfer with any district 6 races.
i know there are alot of xc riders in the nj...pa area, what do you guys think of this idea???
who would be intrested in running this series????
there will be pionts awarded at the races and will have an end of season awards banquit as well with trophys and stuff.

If you do find out more about a series let me know because not only me but I could bring others with me from North NJ. I never rode at Chatsworth because when I called there they told me they had a couple miles of trails. I want to show up to a place that has 70 miles of trails, not 2-4 miles. At the speed I ride
it's not worth it to show up for a place that is too small.

I think your missing the point of the proposed series, and thats to get some damn local races LMAO
Everything is in PA, MD, WV, NY, OH, KY etc and what do we have in NJ? OK theres a handfull of enduro's and most dont welcome us, theres a couple of harescrambles (two that I know of) and then another handfull of MX style events but thats it.
Pinegrove has there MX/XC races allmost every other weekend. Theres no comparison and we just need more local events.
From what I have heard on other sites etc, there looking to fill in some of the gaps between the GNCC and D6 events so there is little if any conflict.
I do think its a good idea and hope that they can run a few of these at min.

What I also found as a member there is that I can have a blast in any area and even one of the smaller sand pits around but not every damn weekend of the year. You actually should go there once (some of the members here and on other forums have rode their and its a good local spot for meeting etc) and check it out, nothing like pinegrove but it isnt just a race facility either. You may find you love it or hate it but hey a day of riding is a good day no.
Its not too big and you will figure most of it out in one or two trips but its a cool relaxed atmosphere and the trails though not too long (thank the damn state and NJ conservation group for that) are still good riding. When they have not groomed the trails for a while there actually pretty good for brushing up on, which is something that most of the natural flat trails of this area are not.
