My dad duttn want a fourwheeler thats to fast ill kill myself on but i want to go out to the mx trak and hit some jumps and race here and there. Im 5'7 130lbs 14yrs old. Is this 4-wheeler right for me and my dad.




P.S. Cause its got to be right for him to let me ride it cause hes bringin in most of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ If ya no what i mean.

 

yeah , a 400ex will do fine , one of the best quads you can buy

 

The 400ex goes around 65-70 stock, Its a mild mannered machine its easy to ride, work on and mod..

i would go with the z 400 the 400ex is to old the motor gets its roots from the 1980s and it is a sohc motor

 

bone stock it tops out at 59. Speed check drive my radar read 59mph on a gravel road about 75 degrees outside.

I think you need to check out your machine. Was that on a slight uphill? My Warrior can pull faster than that even with the reduced 12/40 gearing. 63-68 is more like it for top speed. Warriors stock (depending on rider weight) can go ~ 63 give or take .. a couple mph slower than the EX. The EX is much quicker though.
