what is the fastest accelerating atv i heard the ds650 whats ur 2 cents


and all ds650 owners is the ds worth going 35-40 miles to buy and for service i am thinking it is but i dont know are they reliable

or should i get the v-force i dont like that its auto or should i get the yfz 450 i think it may be a little to small for me i am 250 lbs

you want an accelerator... the yfz is quick as !@#$ man.... i personally think my kfx accelerates.....but relaly man... get what youlike and just gear it down... and youll have a accelerating monster

 

My stock DS tears up stock YFZ 450s and any other stock atv on sand at St Joe State Park. I have ridden a YFZ 450. I thought it was my dream quad. After riding it, I think it is a hi-tech Blaster (slight exaggeration [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] ) with lots of 4 stroke high-rpm power. It felt really small to me, and I ride a Banshee besides my DS. I'm 6'1" 210ish.

The DS is a great bike, just not the best for stoppies and other freestyle type actions. It has a good balance point for wheelies, but the front end take a little effort to bring up. It jumps / lands nicely but I don't know what its limits are. Strong engine for a 4 stroke, not as much low end as the Raptor but more on top. That is my 2 cents.

I've had my ds for 2 years and it has not been to the shop once. most of the maintance can be done your self.

me and my dad drag race all the time and he has yet to beat me, but he's always nipping at my heels. there very close in comparence it really comes down rider.

 

Get the predator, lots of power and very quick excelleration

 

when my raptor was bone stock the only bike i EVER lost to in a drag race was a DS650, I think i have raced just about everything. Those things really move, but don't handle well at all

 

they handle awesome, took first place last year over all with stock suspension and motor. I had a rappy when I first got my ds and once I got comfortable on it the rappy had to go (waste of garage space and money)

Also keep in mind the motor in the race 250r quads also fits the ATC250R so you can imagine the potential of a 100lb + weight advantage or should I say 200lb advantage against those big sleds.

 

I once rode a Tecate with a KFX500 2 stroke motor. Um...yeah. Fastest accelerating bike ever. I'd have to say my sister's banshee would be next in line. I was riding a trail once on her bike, and some @$$hole strung chicken wire across the trail about chest height. I guess he didn't want us there.... Well, the wire caught me by the chin (and surprise), and threw me off the back of the bike. I pegged the throttle by accident as I went off because it was a twist. I watched the bike do a backflip and land in wheelie position about twenty feet away. Now that's impressive acceleration!

 

A quadzilla is probably the fastest accelerating fourwheeler ever. Next in line i think is a banshee with a set of good pipes. Then would be the yfz 450.
