Im new to the racing scene but not new to quads. im 16 and im going to start racing as soon as i can get a new quad, i need to know which sport quad is the best for cross country races, but can still be set up for a little mx. Any and all input is welcomed thanks.

 

I'm not a Honda man in the least.....but I'd still have to say the 250R is still the best quad made for MX and XC......but when it comes to desert, I'm stickin' with my Raptor.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

z400 is good for both worlds....

 

The raptor is a good woods machine with a little tweaking. I have my bike set up for woods right now, but it handles a motocross track quite well with a few suspension changes. Look for one of the new machines..... YFZ or TRX. The YFZ definitely has taken podiums in both worlds. The honda has yet to see the winner's circle.

 

the raptor is more of a trail machine, if you want to spend a little less get either the predator or z, if you dont care about the cost look for the YZF as your pick

Z400 is more XC then MX
YFZ and 450R are more MX
but you can win any race on any of them
