I have an 89 blaster and I would like to fix it up. So far the only thing I have done to it is I put an fmf pipe and silencer on it I bought new rims new tires and a 2" swing arm extension. Please mail in with a good brand of suspension but around 200 dollars and some other mods that would really make a big difference.

I would go with works shocks and a high flow air filter with out the lid, FMF reeds, and a jet kit or a 38mm carb.

PLEASE DO NOT USE FMF REEDS!!!!!
use AKTIVES or Boyesens. I had FMF reeds that broke and caused me to rebuild my Blaster. They didn't help the power as much either.

i have boyesens reeds. they do not give you more power. they give you more throttle response.

my '98 Blaster has 18" Fast Trekers in the rear DG nerfs, & Boyesen reeds. all i want now is FMF pipes.

Blaster668,
you have a YZ490? i would really like to hear more about it. do you mind posting with some details? also please check your e-mail.

Much Aloha,
kOoLbOi56

BTW i'm from Hawaii

three letters .... LRD ! Get EVERYTHING From LRD. Pipes, Boyseen Reeds and Rad Valves, Works Shocks, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING !

Ok Thats All The Advertising for this month..hehe.. its a requirment for Sponsership. Anyway I Have a 99 Blaster with LRD Adjustable Pipes and love them. And it also comes with a jet kit. you just have to install.the pipes look alot better than the stockers and perform alot better too.

At 14, I'm sure money is tight. Boyeson reeds are a good buck for bang investment, and yes they increase throttle response noticably, but don't really add hp. Don't get a carb. You don't need a bigger one. Look into a good K&N or Uni-Filter setup. Make sure it is jetted good. Every thing else I'd buy costs too much or is too difficult to install propably.
