FASTEST 1/8 MILE DRAG TIMES
Darren, what was the 60ft time? I am guessing you had to be in the low 1.5 range. That speed should be on in my book. A buddy runs 7.1's-7.2's at about 88-89mph. I ran a 7.6 at almost 86mph grabbing 6th gear about 350 feet out. My old drag chevelle ran 6.6's at 103-104mph in the 1/8 with a 1.44 60ft time, so I think the numbers are close for you.

1.564 and 1.563 were the 60 ft times.
It was topped out 1 light pole length before the finish. I would guess-timate that to be about 100 ft before the finish line. I'm going to put the 18 sprocket on the front and try it the next Friday that I'm off work. I believe it will break 95 mph. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Actually, the 350 is my builders and it is a stock frame stock displacement and no nitrous. But your right, a stock displacement, stock frame banshee wont do 5s.

Bubba,
If you and Pennyless come up a weekend to go to St. Joe, you might want to stop by Benton, MO on Friday night. That is where I run the 1/8th. It is considered test-n-tune unless they are having a King of the Street. Either way they let us run as much as we care to. Their website is fastfridaynights.com. They track is open at 7 pm and runs until midnight.

Hey drag, I have seen a buddy run an 8.94 at 74mph with just T-5's, a good filter, and jetted carbs. Nothing else was done to it. After porting Banshee jugs for awhile I have found that port specs can vary considerably. That would explain why some run better than others stock.

That Danny guy is a fast little booger for a stocker. I'd like to try it out as soon as I get the wheelie bar on.
Daren..do you have to have a chain guard and leather jacket to race at Benton?
When I went to the rules section this is what it said:
