I have new clutches installed.Still had the stock banshee tires.I went to the dragstrip yesterday.They only call out your times.No rt.,60ft.,or mph.The fastest time they called out for me was an 8.27.1st and 2nd gear was just about useless.Unless you call spinning the tires nearly off usefull.I think I needed to dial it in a little more.Anyways.Keep in mind,the staff at this track gets bent out of shape when you pull wheelies.So I was having to baby it some.On the last pass,with the wheelie bar as low as I could get it,I was going to do my best for at least high 7's.I sat way back on the seat hoping for some traction.Well,it hooked up and pulled a small wheelie.Was it a 7 second pass?Don't know.All they said was to stop pulling wheelies.Guess that's just how it goes.Next time I'll go to a different track.

 

i'd love to run the 1/8th with my old suzuki 250/500.. too bad i sold it before i got the chance..
i've run a 8.7@80 mph with my 92 honda civic hatchback.. next season, if i still have the car, i hope to be running 7.90's with the car.. if i dont have it, i'll be running a kawasaki 750 triple 2stroke.. and that drag bike runs 9.5's in the quarter [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] later i hope to take that motor and drop it into a quad drag chasis.

 

The 250/500 suzuki looks very good.

thanks.. the case is cracked above the counter balancer below the cylinder near the rear stud [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img].. gotta fix it.. then reinforce the area so it doesnt happen again.. you always find the weak points when you start making alot of HP

 

Well, I ran my bike again a couple of times before season end. I have a 2-4 override and making the 1-2 shift is an S.O.B. while fighting a +6 swingarm. I ran a 7.04 at 94.7mph in the 1/8th mile and ran a 9.24 at 102.07mph in the 1000ft. That was still only a 1.58 60ft time. A 1-2 cut tranny would get the times well into the 6's in the 1/8th.

stock chassis and tires 8.3 at 78 mph on asphalt. That was on gas that night.

 

For next year,7's should be easy to accomplish.Just got to get it to hook up.Adding more power and putting it on a diet.
