Ok, its going to cost me $325 to have my top end rebuilt on my 250r at my local shop. I can have CT do a full national kit, includes porting and everything for 450, so no way am I paying 325 to have it done just a piston and bored out.

I can do all the labor myself, and get my own parts I think, shouldnt be tooo hard. So it will cost $38 for the boring job.
Anyway...what parts do I need to do it all? I know a new piston, gasket set, wrist pins and bearings and I think thats it correct? Also, to up the compression, you use the CR base gasket and 2 head gaskets, or 2 base gaskets and a CR head gasket?
Thanks everyone

This is a job for a reputable mechanic, the honing and everything on the cylinder is critical. Ring seating as well. In regard to the gaskets, use a CR thin head gasket, but use a stock base gasket to up compression.
