how to make my own track
Good topic! 2 Acres is plenty to make an mx track. 10' wide is going to be a time consuming enterprise though, especially if you aren't comfortable with running the heavy equipment. I would definately plan it out for 10" wide, but maybe start it off the width of the blade for whatever you use to move the dirt, 6' should be enough for starters. Get the corners a bit wider initially if possible though. I also like the idea of making your jumps tabletops and then removing the middles after you are happy/comfortable with them.

When I did my track, I also only had about 2 acres to work with. I had some trees so I cut them into 12 foot lengths and put them down as filler for the jumps, took up alot of space that I didn't need dirt for. I also contacted my township and they had a bunch of old culvert pipes they had taken out which really make good filler. Berms will let you take the corner harder so it is a good idea to at least have a few corners with berms.

The berms actually act as a bumper and allows you to go in alittle harder and excellerate faster. Some of both would be good so practice gets done on both. Its pretty easy to make them with a bobcat. As far as the distance for the doubles, make a table top 30-40 foot and see what you can clear. When you find out what you can clear take the bobcat and take the middle out of the table top and with a little work you have a set of doubles. Good luck .
