I have a 400ex and am wondering why everyone wants so much for porting and polishing.I have been qouted $400 from dealers and $700 for port polish and bigger valves. Is it worth it or any suggestions.

Call Swain Atv at Sikeston Missouri. JD is excellent at his work and he is a college grad. at techincal school. He knows his stuff. Port and Polish costs $225. You won't be dissapointed.

I would highly recommend GT Thunder. They Race ported my 400 and WOW. The porting was $200 and the polishing, I can't remember, but my total was under $300. They have a web site which explains all the work they do and and even have the dynos to prove it. Fast Turn around!

www.geocities.com/~gtthunder/testbed_sethtml

This link is for the 400EX pipe shootout, but just look for the home icon.

I love my shocks! My shocks let me do a lot more air time without bottoming out. I would recommend them, and if you don't like them, you can change them to TCS shocks for under $300.
