450rbaby, I see your location. You should consider running the District 23 series. We come to your home town for one of the races. Can't say that we have had the best of luck at the track but it is a good track and fun to watch. Check out ARMCA.org and take a look. Mora, Cambridge, Little falls, and others that would be good for you. Feel free to send a private message to me if you have any questions. I can get you hooked up with the right people.

Sure it will keep up.
Like mentioned, suspension. If all your doing is fair races then 1-2k on shocks isn't needed. PEP is the ultimate (PB1's/ZPS's) shocks. You don't see many TCS (totally crap shocks) and motowoz at the nationals. There is a reason for that.
Pipe: Sparks, HMF, Yoshi, DASA, or Rossier. No FMF. Yes a slip on will make a difference.
You got nerfs and a tether? They are mandatory.
Tires: Maxxis! The razor x's are the new ones and work very well. 18" tires of course for MX.

One thing that you need to keep in mind is the decibal level. I know D23 and most of the other race promoters are going to be fairly strick on the decibal level this year. You need to call which ever company you decide to go with and make sure it will meet the 92 decibal level or they won't let you race. I would hate to see some one spend a ton of money on a slip on and not have it be useable.

Before you mod, you better decide what classes you want to run.

Man, is it 92 decibels for D23 now? Do they make an exhaust with decent gains that's that quiet?

Ya brian you might be right, after thinking about it, it might be 97 db. So far both quads we race are 2 strokes and they haven't made us get checked yet. They just pick on the thumpers.
