I was just curious since I noticed Doug Eichner was riding a SRA Outlaw in the XC series....

He was supposed to ride the IRS Outlaw from what I read last season, but I saw a couple races this year and he is on the SRA model.....

I was not aware of any rules in the ATVA or WORCS series that prohibited IRS so I was wondering........

 

Could be a series to series thing. There isn't anything prohibiting IRS or even the larger displacement sport quads in the local series I ride, but what you predominantly see are 450's of one make or another. While the ground clearance would be a big help in a muddy or rocky race, I can see IRS as a hindrance for fast whoops, sweepers, and real tight woods. I thought Eichner had ran the IRS Outlaw in some WORCS races when it first came out. I'm sure Polaris just likes to see good results regardless of which quad he is on.

 

I believe he ran at least a few races on the IRS, maybe he preffered the SRA and switched.
