MX Blaster
#1
Hey guys I'm thinking of racing my Blaster this year in Motocross races. Its a '99 and has a FMF Pipe & Silencer, AC Nerfs, 18" Razrs, Pro Design Kill Switch and Boyesen Reeds. What mods would you guys recomend next for it?

First of all you need good handling then you can go fast.. handling is what most people do last and this is all wrong if your motor wants to go fast and your quad wont handle it then your wasting your money.
1998 roll design 250r with axis shocks all around
1988 kawaski tecate with works all arond
see the trend go with the shocks and handling
see you at the track !!!!

SUSPENSION FIRST!!!!! i made that mistake too. i had it all motor worked pipe...blabla bla... it hauled but handled liek crap. now i have +2 aarms(sre-160$) and lonestar axle. amd offset rims. it helps alottttt also get some holeshot mx tires and turfs

if you want to go fast you will probably have to buy a different qaud! I don't think that you can get enough out of that little thing. I have had many friends try to make a blaster compete and it just hasn't worked. any way if you want some hints try a
bigger carb
port and polished
k&n air filter
smaller tires for better take off
and drop a few teeth off your sprocket
and thats about it!

I agree. Go with handling and suspension first.
and to respond to the last post, the Blaster usually races in a seperate class therefore it does not have to compete against 250R's unless of course you race at one of those small crappy tracks that races all the quads in one class.
