What are the fastest ATV's from the factory?

Well that's ok, I'd just take out my yamaha nytro unless you think that old beater sled would top that too. And just a side note, you say your snowmobile would pass any car, well I don't know what you Canucks drive but pickup trucks and prius' don't count. I'll introduce you to my ZR1

Lol so taking the baffle out is considered modding a bike now? Yea I can see why you guys drive automatics all day. No mechanical ability. You guys must not know your *** from a hole in a ground if you think a baffle is going to make a bike faster

I have a ski-doo Renegade 800R e-tec now. Their 165hp stock .
My point being that manufacturers like Can Am, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Yamaha do not put their technology efforts in ATVs like they do with their sleds and PWC.
Can-Am is not going to put a Rotax E-TEC 800R, liquid-cooled, 3-D R.A.V.E., 2-cylinders with Electronic direct injection in a ATV anytime soon.
But some crazy guy may give it a shot on his own. LOL

Here a "stock" 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro. at the dragstrip. quick but at 130hp far from the speed king nowadays, my 800R would eat it alive, a e-tec 600 sdi would give it a hard time.
I did mention all sleds made have that sloooow CVT system like most ATVs now.

Man you misunderstood my point about CVTs. They are great transmissions. I have a few of them and they work great but think about how much horsepower a cvt has to have to compensate. A CVT loses more to the rear wheels is what I am saying. A 53 horsepower manual with a chain drive will make 41 HP to the rear wheels. A 72 HP shaft diven atv with a cvt transmission makes 47hp to the rear wheels. How else can such a lose be explained?
Now of course a snowmobile is a completely different story. Like you said, they make 130+ HP and probably weigh around 650 pounds. That is a totally different class of machine. A renegade 1000 only makes 85hp at the crank and weighs more than a sled so you can't compare the two at all really.
Also as just a side note, my yamaha nytro 162 is the turbo version. It a option offered from yamaha and it does not void the warranty since it was installed before I even took the sled home by the dealer. It makes around 175 horsepower with the turbo. Technically it is a option straight from yamaha so it is considered a stock sled. Either way this thing is a rocket and I'm willing to bet your renegade 800 wouldn't eat it alive. I'm not saying that i would win, I honestly don't know but I bet it would be close
