Hey everyone. I've always wondered how you go about getting sponsored. I know you have to get a race resume together, and send it to different businesses. What does the resume need to have on it? How many races is a good amount before sending in a resume? What are some other rules of thumb for getting sponsored? Any help you can give is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

 

I started out sending resume's after my 1st season. You should have in there what you can do for their company - as far as promoting their product to the fullest extent of your ability. Something like that sounds good. Also, most sponsors will not accept resume's until October and they stop in December usually. Watch out for some sponsors, they make it sound like a big deal when it really is not a deal at all. Sometimes you can get some stuff from your local shop the same price as the so called sponsored price. Just fill up your resume with all of your good points in your career and you would be surprised how many company's you will get a response from.
