Question about GNC 40+ class
#2
None of the age classes have a engine cc limit. You can ride a blaster all the way up to a DS. Also, any A,B, and C riders can ride in the age classes. The only riders that can't ride in the age classes are the pro's. The age classes are not easy classes at the GNC nationals. The top riders are very good.
We were thinking about in the 40+ class a 200 lbs min weight and you must have a 36 in waist or more. Just kidding.

No problem with that i fit in either way . The reason i am asking is i need a new cylinder for my 86r and was thinking of going to a 310 but wanted to make sure it was good with the class 1st . My son will be running the 250 C class this year and i cant keep from racing myself anytime i see the track . Thanks for the info . One last question are the numbers assigned or can you have the number you run at local tracks in both the C class and +40 class ?

The numbers 1-10 at assigned to the riders that won that number from the year before. Some of them choose to use a different number so that they can use the same number in different classes and they then don't have to change number plates. When you come to the signup area there will be a posting of the numbers that are being used in each class. If you are going to race at 3 or more events during the year see me at the race and I will reserve that number for you for the rest of the year. If you reserve a number and don't show up for 3 or more races you will not get a reserved number the next year(2003).

Hey tprender,
A little off the subject, but does the AMA Nationals Series have any rule about numbers on the quad in honor of a fallen racer? I would like to put a small 77 on my quad in memorial of the gentleman who died in TN, I just dont want to get DQ'd - I will be in the 250B class and the 16-14 age group.

If you go staraith by the book as it now reads with the rule change for this year. It says that nothing can be no the number plate except for the top 1 or 2 inches for any sponsers stickers or names. I know that in a special case like this I will have to talk to my boss and see what he says. I think that it would be OK if it does not interfer with the reading of the number. Again, I think.
Jack , have you been doing any working out this winter or like usual, just eating and drinking. and
