ok this is a test to see who out there actually knows what the heck they are talking about.i want to see everyone put the following machines in the order that they think are the fastest to the slowest.and please remeber i said the fastest not the quickest.yes there is a difference between quick and fast.number #1 being the fastest of course. thanks and be honest.i'll start with my list first.
1. lt 500
2. tecate 4
3. cannondale 440
4. ds650
5. raptor
6. banshee
7. 250R
8. lt250
9. 400ex
10. scrambler 500
you can add whatever machines you want to the list.i choose only use what i thought to be the top ten.i may have forgot one or two.

I think that the quadzilla is no dought the fastest quad ever built. The banshee is fast too. I swear every time they test these new machines there speeds change like first it was the cannondale then it was the banshee but i don't know. I just know that between the 250 2 strokes that the T4 is the fastest and then the honda 250r and then the lt 250r.I know that my 250r is a good 10-20mph faster than my stco 400ex. I would say that the 400ex goes between 65-70 and the R goes about 85-90 with porting and all that stuff and 14f 38 r gearing.

How would someone listing their opinion on the fastest quad tell you wether or not they know what they are talking about?
The fastest and quickest (straight line only) quad I have ever ridden was a Lt500 Quadzilla.
The fastest MX quad I have ever ridden had a yz426 motor, but since we are talking about quad motors it would have to be Kory Ellis' old 265r powervalve or my Curtis Sparks 265r.
The fastest XC quad I have ever ridden would be the Blaze 440. It rips.
In my opinion the fastest quad made now (straight line) is either the C-dale or the Banshee. The only reason the other quads (ex. Raptor, DS650) beat the Banshee is because it spins so much. But hey this is just my opinion not the facts.
I wonder if I would get any replies if I posted:
*** What is the "Top 10" slowest atv's made? ***

Well now, If we're talking ATV's in general, and not just Quads, And ones that were mass produced (Not counting The huge Husaberg's, Tiger's, ect) This'll be a cinch.
Tie LT500-86 Tecate 3 (I'm sure this'll get arguement)
ATC250R
Cannondale Moto
Banshee
Tecate 4
DS650
TRX250R
Raptor
Yamaha Tri-Z (When these things are stock, their not too fast, but as soon as you get some minor work in them, Piped shee's are lunch.)
ATC350X
400EX
Mojave
ATC200X
Warrior
Blaster
Anything lower then that doesn't really matter.
Now, for Including the Rare, and Pre-production ATV's...
Honda Prototype ATC500R
Tiger 500
Tiger 250
Tiger 4
Honda Factory racing ATC200R
Probably any of the big Husaberg Quads
LT500<>Late Tecate 3
And from then on it goes down...and down. They sure dont make things like they use to. ATV's from the 80's are like Muscle Cars from the 60's and 70's. Don't see too many cars in the present date and time that have the power of a Hemi Cuda, you know? :-)
