OK heres your best shot....ditch your friends and come help me with my quad...I always need help(time issues)cleaning and preping my quad, adjusting the suspension for different conditions, sign up and registration, fuel bieng full enough, proper oil and levels, and not to mention I could use a good man to keep all the crazed bikini wearing fans from ripping my ridding gear off again. Changing tires for conditions, cleaning my goggles, making sure I get to the gates on time, In other words the mechanic needs to run the show, riders are good for two things...racing our quads and complaining about deficiencies with the bike(to stiff to soft). Watch the races from a good vantage point to allow you to advise your riders about better lines he might take or places where he isn't pushing hard enough, places to pass/block...wht about the gates? Which is fastest(mechanicaly) and which has the best line for the first corner. In short your position may require as much or more prep than the racers...however you may drink beer(only if you are old enogh in the state you live in) all day long and talk about how fast your set-up is without ever bieng out of breath the entire day
