OK, my 2 cents
Horse power: This is the thing that isn't proven on a consistent basis.
One year at the GNC a dyno guy was at the races. What others and I noticed is that different sprockets/tires/tire pressure/etc. was all changing the HP reading. So we do presume that the dyno tests were conducted several times to get the maximum HP.But does this mean anything to your style of racing is my point.
Drag racing dyno reradings are always high it seems. A motor builder mentioned in a previous post joked with me about the HP reading depending on the state your in
So anyways, 115? Doubtfull in my eyes. The dyno guy read my CGR 250cc cylinder at 36 HP at the rear wheels. He would not say what others were, just that mine was average. My 300 CGR would surely be more HP.If it would read over 42 at the rear wheels, I'd be suprised. But when I rode my daughters LSR CRF-450 motored quad, it felt the same as my 300. The CRF-450 is rated at what? 46-50 HP??
Now lets talk rear wheel HP and crankshaft HP. You take the rear wheel HP and add a certain % to figure out the crankshaft HP. This is where HP's can be decieving IMO.
There are some things to consider.
A lil food for thought maybe.
