Skidder, I don't need no stinkin' skidder
#1
Was up in NH helping a buddy by pulling logs into a clearing so they could cut them up easier. This was the second log I pulled. It was about 25 feet long and the base was about 8-10 inches wide. I had pulled up the thicker part that the other gent was cutting in the video. It amazes me what quads can do. I was using my Polaris Sportsman X2 500. If the log got jammed I ended up starting to dig 4 holes in the ground. We just had to swing the end of the logs around and it would come a lot easier. I ended up pulling maybe 6 or 7 logs up into the opening this way. YouTube - Skidder, skidder, I don't need no skidder

I probably use my quad almost as much doing work as I do going on rides. I don't miss the days of parking the truck as far in as I could get it and wheelbarrowing the wood to the truck.
