Default 107mph Mobility Scooter Clip

We couldn't make this one up if we tried- a mobility scooter clocking in at 107mph. Only 99mph faster than stock:

You could ****** a basket full of goodies at your local store and be gone before anyone knew you were there..

There's fast and then there's stupid fast. I think that was the latter. it's faster than the top speed of my truck. Come to think of it, the only time I've gone over 100 MPH was in an aircraft.

Gotta tell on myself.. When LBJ Freeway was new, just opened, very little traffic and just a few cars around the Mesquite area at 1 am in the morning,I hit 135 mph in my 70 Plymouth Gtx. Didn't keep it there long as every little dip I hit seemed like that boat of a car wanted to go airborn. Young and dumb with a muscle car. Good recipe for disaster, but I'm still here to talk about it.Never tried it again as that cured any dare devil in me after that morning.

Fastest I have ever gone is 110 mph, in a 1991 Pontiac 6000 of all things. I guess GM didn't have chips to limit top speed back then. My 2004 3.4 V6 Grand Am cuts out at 108 mph, still fast enough for a Grand Am I suppose lol. Its a weird feeling feeling the engine cut out at 108 mph though. I don't think I've ever had my Silverado past about 80 mph. I think GM limits them to about 100 mph anyway. A friend of mine had an 05 Z71 and I think that's where the limiter kicked in on his. I once test drove a new Toyota Tundra(that I didn't buy) and on the test drive on some deserted rural roads got it up to 100mph. Not exactly the recommended break in on a new truck but had a couple buddies egging me on. We used so much gas on the test drive that we had to stop at a local station and put a few bucks in it to make it back to the dealer. Man that truck was powerful though, I think it was the 2nd year of the 5.7 V8. From a dead stop the acceleration was quite impressive. I think its the most powerful vehicle I have ever driven just didn't have the most top end speed.

Oddly enough, it's my wife who has had our Titan up to 115. Brother in law and niece were in the car too. They didn't think it would do it, but they held it for a bout 10 mile stretch in east Texas on I20. Family emergency. She told me not to do that.

The motorcycle may occasionally see the 100 mark. Maybe a little more. Can hit that pretty quick.

110 mph limiter in the wifes' V-6 Honda engine also. Only two limiters back in the muscle car days that I know of. Your right foot and how much testicular strength you had.. And of course flashing red lights from the police.

I can picture someone on that scooter passing everything on the highway. What a sight that would be.

Knowing how traffic is here, I volunteer to not be that person.
