Here are 2 more options to consider. I like one without the tilt bed in the second video. You need more room behind the truck than usual for the ramp, but it's a shallower angle.

That's pretty cool too but I'm sure its expensive. The F150 in the video I posted had the crewcab with the 5 1/2 foot bed. You can get the crewcab with a 6 1/2 foot bed. I think the supercab, which is the standard extended cab, can be had with an 8 ft bed. You have to get an F250 to get a crewcab with an 8 ft bed. They do still make a regular cab with an 8ft bed as well. Most people that buy the crew with the 5 1/2ft bed never haul anything big anyway. They want the crewcab to haul people and just pull a trailer instead.

Other mistake most make is they stop when on the ramp. Once you are sure you are straight, just give it enough gas to make it and go. If you have a newer 4wd truck your old 6' ramps are going to be too short. Even if it means leaving your tailgate down I'd feel safer with 9' ramps.

6' ramps are too scary for me. There are plenty of 7.5' ramps that will fit in the back of a long bed pickup with the tailgate closed. If those still aren't long enough you can get some that fold in half. They make 10' and 12' ramps that fold in half to fit in the back of a truck. The angle would be more like loading a trailer than a truck with regular ramps.

I've done the shorter ramps before, I've got a trailer now but I still have my 7.5' ramps that I used with my Silverado and that was an extreme enough incline even with those. I use them to get my mower in and out of my shed as it doesn't sit level with the ground.

On one of the warning stickers on my ATV it says Never operate this ATV on HILLS steeper than 25 degrees, and it warns you about flipping the ATV over. Riding up the ramp to my truck was a lot steeper than 25 degrees. Even if I didn't get a fiberglass cap on my truck, I still would have bought a trailer to avoid that steep angle.

Parked in a rough parking area to unload. Headed out and had a nice ride. Put the ramps on the tailgate and noticed how steep it was. The ramp ends were in holes that were 8" deep or so. Moved the truck so they were on level ground and was not a problem to load. It made just enough difference that loading was scary.
