Default Yamaha YFZ 450 vs. Kawasaki KFX 700 V-Force

One big factor for me was my size. I am 6' 265 lbs and the YFZ is just too darn small. The V force fits us big guys like a glove.

I have much respect for the YFZ, but I would not trade my V Force for ten of the little Yamahas.

If you are a medium build guy, you will probably love the Yammy. If you are a big goon like me, it will feel like a toy.

Good luck and don't believe that the YFZ has more potential. The 700 V Twin is severely underachieving in stock version and is spilling over with potential. The 450 motor on the Yammy is already pretty highly refined as it comes from the dirtbike.

o you guys think the YFZ would be a good bike for me. I'm 6' 230lbs. I will be riding mostly drags, mx track and trails, no mud thats what the sportsmans for. I want somethin fast that as even more potential and want a jumper, manual clutch, and shifty quad. I'm tryin to decide on this and the Rappy but wont be purchasig anything till summer break next year so i figure all the bugs ill be worked out if any? on the YFZ.

Kory Ellis is like 6' 2 " or something and he said after riding the YFZ a bit it didn't feel small to him anymore. I guess a lot of taller guys at the test track said the same thing. I like to shift and I like lighter weight quads. My best friend has a V-Force in his garage and I've ridden it on a few occasions and I just don't like it. It's just my opinion but for me it's to wide in the middle, sits to tall and wieghs to much it feels like a bus to me. The rear end bounces around a lot even though we have spent a lot of time trying to dial it in. He has grown to like it quite a bit and maybe if I road it as much as he does I would change my mind but for the riding style I have with the type of quads I like to ride it just isn't for me.

When trying to make a decsion about a quad never say X quad vs Y Quad...you will more then likly get mixed opinions and no real help...the only way to decide is to go and ride each...I dont know nething about the yfz but I have test ridin the V...Torque is amazing on the machine and it handles decent for being so heavy...I have heard it also goes through mud quite well also. and I have heard guys doing 50 foot doubles with them too...I am starting to go onto the biased side so I will just end this in...hope you find what you are looking for and keep us up to date...later
