Which 4x4 should I get ?
I am in Pulaski County.
Seriously, go to www.atvnation.com and check out the yamaha forum. The Grizz's have had so many problems from boiling gas, vapor locks and the electrical servo in the front diff, that the forum had to add special sections just to deal with the problems. You will also read of how Yamaha is not wanting to stand behind the ATV and deal with the problems. This is from the top of the line model.
When I decided to replace my King Quad a couple of years ago I wanted the Grizz real bad. It seemed to be everything I needed. But after reading up on different brands on different forums and other research that I did, I went with the Polaris SP 600. It ended up being the best decision I could have made. When I said get a 03 or newer, it was because in 03 they got a lot of the earlier problems worked out. Inline shifter on 600 & 700, new clutch cover with drain, central locking diff, reduced turning radius, etc.
Check out the prices at Polaris of Chattanooga. It is a 4 hour drive for me but the savings were so good that I gladly made the trip.
New 03 SP 600, 2500 warn ci winch, brushguard, rear tube bumper, handguards. Total out the door price $6280. Try to beat that anywhere in Ga. Don't forget, in Ga. they will add tax, in Tenn. they will not.
I called the Ga. Dept of Revenue about the tax issue. They said; If the vehicle is not titled and tagged and you don't pay taxes at time of purchase you are not obligated to pay taxes upon return.

If you want it now look at the sportsmans or the grizzly, if you have some time wait a few months and try out the arctic cat 650 also. My brother has an 03 grizzly, not to happy with it, the frame is really really light duty, and we have to ride it with the side plastic off on trail rides so it doesn't vapor lock. But what a motor, tons of power. I have had lots of little ploblems with my polaris, but I think it's one of the easiest steering machines and the demand 4 wheel drive works great, they also look the best, nice fit and finish. I have an arctic cat 500i now and sold a 99 500 with 1200 miles to buy it. Zero problems, great utility machine, ugly and slow but always there. I have almost 200 miles on my 500i and am very happy with it lots more power than my old one, the suspension is really sweet. Ride them all and get what you like, after all it's your money.
