Hey there, I am new to the forums I just found them.. The question is, what is to small. I am almost 16 years old, never had a ATV and finally have enough money to get one. I was looking at a monsoon 90cc, I am 200 pound 6'1. I dont want to break my wallet, so nothing over 1800 I can spend on this. I don't know if a monsoon is any good, I will be riding on my 18 acre plot of woods, mostly just riding. No racing, might make a few hills thought to jump though. Can I get bye with a 90cc?? Also is a monsoon any good? I have never looked into atv's before and I am really lost. Thanks for all the help.

There is nothing wrong with the 90 cc quads, just how it is driven that is the problem. If it was a manual clutched, high performance 90cc motor, you might be ok, but most of the small, off brand atvs use an air cooled, belt drive scooter motor. On flat ground, you would be ok ( I used to ride my son's LT80 around, I'm 185) but any inclines, or hills, or just taking off too fast, and you will hear that belt scream, and soon it would be toast. Most of the little quads have a weight limit around 130 - 150 or less. I have seen used Blasters for 1000 - 1400 bucks depending on age and condition, so keep looking, like everyone has said, you'll be much happier with something that fits you - on that 90, your knees would be hitting the handle bars !!!!

Either you are a troll or have no sense whatsoever. A 90cc quad is for children - it is entirely too small for a person of your age and size. It would be way underpowered and would make you the laughing stock of anyone who sees you riding it. You can find a nice used 2001-2002 Yamaha Blaster for $1,800-$2,000, a 93-98 Honda 300ex for about the same cost. You could also find an older Suzuki lt250r (Quadracer) easily for under $2,000. I'd go with the 300ex personally.

the reason is i sat on a 90cc one time and they asked me to get off b/c i was to big for it. and iam 5'10 and iam 13. the 90cc motor would blow b4 you know it b/c of being over stressed by some one wat to big for it. if you save for a little longer and get $2995 then you can get a left over 03 blaster. or something else. but not a 90cc
