Looking to buy a utility ATV and would like to know peoples feeling of the Sportsman 500 special Vs Traxter XT

 

The July issue of the 4 wheel ATV action has an article on the Traxter XT. The Traxter is heavy & expensive.

Right now the Sportsman seems to be the undisputed champ of the big bore 4x4's. The only concern I would have on the Traxter, is how easy is it going to be to get parts. I don't think alot of these have been sold. There a many sportsmans out there.

Tough choice, ride them both! Which one fits you better? Which one has the options you like best? Which dealer gave you a better deal on the price?

You chances are higher in running into Big Foot than a Traxter in the woods right now but I do know the plain SP is $600 less than a Traxter up here.

 

i don't care how functional the traxter is supposed to be or how well it pulls or what type of options are available, or how many magazines love it, it still looks like a moped with 4 wheels. i would rather push a suzuki than ride a traxter. now of course, just like with women, looks aren't everything, but if women all looked as stupid as the traxter, my right arm would be huge.

Bayougrizz' I have to agree with you--looks are'nt everything but I ride the things with my friends. When I was growing up the only thing that had a step through was a girls bicycle.
