well said NYC. Many people criticize other quad's and particullary other brands that the currently or never have owned.
I think the sp 500 would be a good machine as well, as a 350cc may not have enough power for all that snow a 400 would do ok though. Ground clearance is verry important as well.

NYC-People come here to the forum for no BS opinions about machines. Anybody who owns a particular machine (any machine), will tend to support it because they don't want to feel like a fool for buying one. You are free to say that you love your particular machine, and everybody else is free to say that buying one would be a complete waste of money! That is what this forum is for! State your opinion, and then let the readers decide.
I ride with several Polaris machines. We trade off bikes all the time, so it isn't like I have never put in any saddle time on one. Looks like Dennis isn't going to pick either your prefered brand or mine. Hey, it's his money!

Listen, I don't mind @ all... But when you bash something for no apparent reason, It's unfair to the readers. Especially if they don't know better. On another note, I'm NOT Brand loyal, I like all quads in General, Because there is No Perfect quad! All quads are good in there own way, So if you don't like it, maybe you had a bad experience, Now why go around saying how a Quad sucks, Just cause You had a Bad experience! Who Makes You MR. Know it all? Your just telling the readers from what ever happen to you. So why do you feel to Bash on Polaris?
Now if polaris was sooooo bad, why would people still buy them, why would they have there own clientele, Don't you see how many people have been buying them... Well anyways, I know there will be bashing, But why don't we leave that to the Kids...

Hey Dennis,
When I went in to buy my Sportsman 500, there was a guy royally chewing out the manager of the Polaris/Bombardier dealership. He say's I just bought these piece of crap Bombardier atv's less than a year ago and they won't stay started, and the batteries keep dying. I am by no means bashing any brand of atv. I looked at and liked many other brands of atv's, the 500HO just had everything that I was looking for. It is a personal choice just remember that cheaper isn't always better and there may be a reason why the Bombardier has a 3 year warranty. Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy it. I like the Ranchers because they are small, light, and agile. However, if you are plowing snow or doing heavy work, a 350 is probably going to be to small. Maybe take a look at the Rubicon.
