All are great machines, I went with the Cat 400 and love it. I use mine for snow plowing and it works great. The extra ground clearance is a big bonus(for hunting and driving in the snow). They are not the fastest thing out there, but you really can't beat them for utility use. Another big bonus is the suspension, 10" of travel and adjustable settings, the IRS makes a big difference. Be sure to ride them all, and find a great dealer who will stand behind your ATV, and not just shoe you out the door after the sale. Oh, get the 60" plow, it is the only way to go.

Between those 3, I'd go with the Kodiak 450 and it's locking diff.

Wait a minute! Is the Kodiak 450 new or used. I'm guessing used. It might not have certain things on a used model. Yamaha added an over ride button in 2003. I think.

I agree totally with Catterman,I too have 400i and love it.It has over 3000 miles and not a single problem(with the exception of stupid things that I caused). But also like he said be sure to find a dealer that will back up the product 100% and test ride them all.

I agree with Coyotechaser. Between those three, I'd get the Kodiak 450.

I had the same decision to make last november and after looking around i went with the Cat 400i and love it, so far i have only used it for plowing snow, and riding around on, but have no regrets at all, you can look at my pics in my gallery and see how much snow i have been plowing, and havent had any troubles at all.

I was looking for a workhorse for my farm, finally settled on Cat 400i for the extra clearance (farm is pretty rough) and I just liked the way they were built, very solid. Went to buy one, dealer didn't have any in dark green (no point in advertising to the local atv thieves), so the dealer cut me an especially sweet deal on a dark green 500i. I was even happier after that... had it two years, only problem so far was it fouled a plug this spring. Otherwise, it's been gas and go.
