I have the opportunity to purchase a 1994 Honda trx 300 two wheel drive for $3000.00. The trx 300 is in excellent condition and has not been used that much. It was purchased several years ago for his daughter, and she does not ride it anymore and he does not care to ride it. The additions to the ATV have been full floor boards and aluminium wheels. I know from reading these forums that the trx 300 is bullet proof and has a track record of longevity if properly maintained. Kelly Blue Book has it listed for $2860 Retail Value, and NADA is somewhere around that price for a pure stock 1994 trx 300 2wd. If I get it I will put a performance kit including a pipe, k&n air filter, jet kit, spark plug etc.. to make it a little more performance oriented. I already own a 4x4, and I would like a 2wd to play on also. Please give me your opinion on whether this is a decent deal or not. I can get a new Recon out of state for $3,200.00 out the door. The concern I have is that I am paying $3000.00 for a six year old ATV when I could pay a few hundred more for a brand new Recon. Thanks in advance.
