polaris is known for having some of the highest towing capacities in the atv market. The prior problems with transmissions are said to be fixed. Check with your dealer about the water pump on the p700. The early models had some problems with them. The bombs are nice, but oil changes alone will break the bank.

You might want to consider the kawasaki 700 prairie. It has the most horse power and torque out there and I use mine on the farm and at the lease all the time pulling things around. The low range is great. But, it would probably be a little better for utility work if it had an manual tranny. So, you might want to consider the AC500 manual, suzuki 500 vinson manual, and the Honda rubicon 500 (auto and electric manual shift). Although the kawasaki 700 prairie is extremely powerful, it can be over bearing when you want to just craw around while doing utility work, because it wants to get up and run. Good luck with whatever you get and let us know.

Thanks for all the advice.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a new Sportsman 700, which I can get for $6582 out the door. Still looking to get a great deal on a late model used one (or Grizzly or Prairie) before I pull the trigger. It's tough to find good deals on used because it seems like price of new has come down in the last couple years and sellers of used machines aren't willing to eat a big loss when they sell.

I have a 03 polaris 700, the polaris 700 and the bombardier are the 2 best pullers in the big bore class.I like the adjustable shocks on the polaris so you can stiffen them up for loads [Grizzley's don't have, and are to soft] both these machines out weigh the other big machines by 150lbs and that makes them better at pulling trailers, the extra weight helps keep the front wheels on the ground when hooked up to trailers. the arctic cat 650 is also a good machine for hauling things because its heavy also but I don't know if the rear shocks are adjustable but they are stiff.Forget about hooking heavy trailers on the lighter machines because they want to pop wheelies.

I would go with the arctic cat 650 or 500 they are a fulll out work horse. they have excellent ground clearence and they can pull almost any thing you would need to work a food plot and more. their racks are really strong and can carry alot of weight too. good luck on the descision
