sportsman 700efi or prairie 700
#1
By the end of April I will have either a sportsman 700efi or a prairie 700, if any of you have seen these machines going head to head in varying terrain let me know which one seemed to shine, I will be changing tires and rims as well I will be looking for the proper size and pattern for the following application. Riding on gravel roads 60% of the time 15% mud 25% hauling a boat trailer to semi remote lakes. Thanks for the help.

Go with the prairie. The single rear axle is much more stable on gravel than IRS. It muds good also contrary to what the IRS crowd says. Rumor has it that a 750 EFI version is coming in a few months. You might wait for some more info on that.

I would imagine that you have made your decision by now, LOL. I have an '04 K700 and I bike with a Polaris 500. There is no doubt that the Polaris has a better ride. But the K700 has a lot more pwer and towing capacity. Also, Kawaski is giving 3 years warrenty with an option to buy 2 more years. The K700 was cheaper priced by $1500 than the Polaris EFI 700. Polaris is also quite a bit heavier than K700
