I'm buying my first ATV and I'm between a Foreman Rubicon a Kodiak 450 Auto and a Vinson Auto 500... I'm using this ATV to basically for rides with some water and mud... No work jobs at all... 100% fun is what I'm looking for... Do you think that this equipments would be enough for a starter like me????
Do you recommend some other ATV????
Thanks!!!

Don't know that much about the Kodiak or Vision, I have a friend with the Rubicon and he is pleased with it. My first ATV was a 1995 Polaris 400 Explorer, it was a 2-stroke, 4 x 4, with an automatic transmission, I bought it new and drove it until April of this year when I sold it and bought an 04.5 Sportsman 500. The Explorer was trouble free and fun to ride, I just can't complain about it. The 450 to 500 range will give you as much power as you will need sometimes too much. I would definatelly would go with that size along with the auto and 4 x 4. As far as the make go test drive a few see what feels good to you.

Thanks for the comment... Finally I've decided for the Kodiak 450... I had the best discount from the dealer and great comments from people on this website and some other sources... Tomorrow I'm picking up my new Kodiak450 2004... I can't wait to use it!!! That will be this Saturday!!! YEAH!!!!

My friend has the Rubicon but he says it feels somewhat underpowered. I've never been on it but it looks like a good machine. The reason I wouldn't get one is becuase of the price. When I bought my Vinson a few weeks ago I lwas ooking at the Kodiak 450 and Vinson 500. After riding and reading all the reviews I went with the Vinson. You can't go wrong with either machine but if it's fun you are looking for I think the Vinson is the way to go. It's very sporty and that's why I went with Suzuki. It goes plenty fast and it will go anywhere the big boys go. I've heard it's biggest weakness may be mud but I don't do a lot of mudding but since you are looking at all 500 and below machines I thing the Vinson wins this catagory hands down.
