Default plz help

ok... im 15 years old and ill be 16 next month so ill be getting a job, and im looking to pay off a sport bike, but im not sure what to get... ive never used a clutch before, only semi-automatic and automatics. i dont want anything basic like a blaster or anything like that, but i want something of the more competitive type. my dad owes out a nice amount of money so im not sure if they will let him get the loan to finance or whatever so i am trying to keep the price down a bit but i really love the yfz.. im deciding between a yfz450, trx450, raptor, z400, kfx400, predator, the dvx or a ds650 mainly.. but if u have other suggestions they are appreciated as well.. any comments are welcome and i hope i didnt leave anything out

I'd suggest the Z400/KFX400/DVX400(all the same machine). They are relatively cheap when compared to the other ones and perform well. Reverse is nice also.

Ya, the yfz and trx and raptor are sweet quads,,,but they are EXPENSIVE!!! So your looking at the 400 class,,,,Well in US $$$ they retail from around 5400 to 5600 dollars...I've seen though the z-400 go for 3500 bucks brand new but it was with a rebate form...and I've seen the kfx go for 4999 out the door...These are all the same machine just different plastic...You could also look at the classic 400ex...I don't think they are as fast as the new 400 class but they are very reliable and just great overall quads (no reverse though,,,,) Another thought for you...I hear that suzuki/kawa are bringing out a 450 soon...I'm sure it will be expensive also but this meens that if you wait the 04 model 400's...well you might be able to get a good deal off a dealer on it....I'm sorry I can't help with the canadian currency...I'm not sure.

The Z400 are an awesome bike. You mentioned price is a major factor, I paid $7,900.00 before taxes (cdn.) about six months ago for my Z. I suggest looking at the 400ex. They have been around for ten years plus, so you should beable to find a good used one in your price range. The Z's have only been around a couple of years, so you will pay more for a good used one. Buddy of mine just bought a 99 400ex and I think he paid around $3,500.00. They are reliable and lots of mods out there for them. I also wouldn't rule out a Blaster. That was my first sport quad and it was a real good learning bike for someone who has never used a clutch.

Let us know what you end up going with.

thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated
im leaning towards the kfx400 now tho, an orange one.. cuz i already got my fox gear ordered and its red so i want to match my bike a small bit, and orange is better than green for that in my opinion, but besides, the kfx looks pretty sweet too.. id probably get the suzuki but there arent any dealers in my town for them.
EDIT: i just seen a pic of a red and black dvx, i think that looks awesome.. it would go with my gear perfectly too

man i know i can afford this easy... is there much of a possibility that they wont let my dad co-sign or whatever for it, like if i dont make a payment they will go after him for it? cuz if they dont let him do that then of course i cant get the bike, but i know 100% i can afford this.. so it will really suck if they dont let him do that
