Best handling quad.
#1
I am planning on buying a new or used quad as soon as i sell my jeep. I have a 2000 400ex now it is a great all around ATV but I want something with a little better handling and maybe more top end just for bragging rights My main concern in handling though. The 400ex seems a little to tight and pushs alittle to much for me in the turns. Even when i try to whip the rear end around to help me turn the front tires just push. I would like something wider with an adjustable suspention. I found a 2003 predator for sale near me for 3500. Are they good quads? I have seen posts about some popping problems. Never owned anything polaris but its between it and the honda trx450r. I'd like to hear from you preadator and trx450 guys. Let me know how you like your machines Also if I do get either what difference could I expect between them and the 400ex. thanks

The 400EX is one of the better handling machines out there! Never had any problem with it pushing in turns. Have you tried different tires? Aftermarket suspension? Maybe you have just worn your suspension out?
Between my 450R, Z400, and 400EX, I would say the EX has the most consistent, no quirks handling.

Ya, the 400 ex is prime when it comes to handling...I don't think there is a quad out there that handles as good as the ex....But if your wanting more top end the trx 450R would defenetly be a change to the 400 ex.....but for handling...you got the quad for that already...you might need to get some different tires on it to help you out in the turns.
