Hello everyone, I am an old 3 wheeler that is his mid forties and muy son 11 years old wants a four wheeler. With money (wife) a serious consideration I need to find a quad that is just right. There are alot of new brand names out there Yamoto, sundiro, e-ton, Etc. Etc. Are these any good? Help me out here guys two grand is my limit, and I was thinking about a 90 to 100 cc Thanks alot!!

My first choice would be the Honda 90 which retails for $2499. You might be able to get the OTD price close to $2000.

My second choice would be the Suzuki 80 with a retail price of $2299. Again, the OTD price could be lower.

From time to time the Kasea atv's catch my eye. Kasea has a Skyhawk 90 that I think retails closer to $2000. I would also consider a Kasea.

A lot of the childrens "name brand" quads are made by the same no-name companies. You might be able to find test rides of specific children quads on different atv magazine sites.

The LT80 is probably the best as far as simplicity and durability. As for the Korean and Chinese... Eton machines seem fairly solid and theyre a good mix of low price/good features. Kasea is probably in the same league but I noticed they have a drum brake on the rear where Etons have a hydraulic disk. Also Etons seem to have a good number of hop-ups. Short of a heavily custom rig I think the Etons are best suited for racing.

If ya just want a durable quad the LT80 is the way to go. If theres a chance of racing I'd stick with Eton or Kasea. The other brands you mentioned I havent heard alot of opinions on either way, which makes me nervous.

if he's 11 i don't know if i would get him one of the smaller bikes. Cause in 2-3 years he'll definably be to big for a little 80cc bike i would say that a Honda 250EX would be good, i think the price is 3500 for one so it's a little over what your willing to spend, but in a few years if he's really into the sport a 250ex will still be a great bike for him

im 15 and 5' 3" and i just bought a used 99' Kawasaki Bayou 220. ITs automatic clutch, just pull up or push down on shifter. And it has reverse too. A good choice so that both you and your son can ride it as well. I got mine for $1500. Not a bad deal... i think
