Default Getting A New Wheelie

Hello Folks, I'm New Here And Just Want To Say Hi I'm Thinking About Getting A Yamaha Big Bear Or Kodiak 400, For Hunting/ Mudding, I'm Told That This Four Wheeler Will Not Fit In The Back Of My Truck, I Have An Extended Cab Z71, I Think The Bed Is Six Feet. Does Anyone Have This Problem With A 400. I Thought About A Trailer, But I Have No Place To Put It. I May Have To Re-Think If It Won't Fit.

Happy Riding

i have a suzuki eiger and my friends truck is the same as yours we back the wheeler in the truck and put a couple of 2x4's under the tires so the tail gate will have enough clearance to close

Go for the Kodiak

My friend has a Big Bear and it sucks really REALLY bad. The quad is so slow he is always revved out doing maybe 35 mph. 35mph might be fast enough you think but he has to rev the machine pretty high to do it while everyone else is just easing along putzing at lower revs. I also hate the 4x4 system on it, the thing can't climb worth a damm in off cambers techical stuff. The handeling of it also sucks because hes always in 4 wheel drive. Its truely the worst of everything on the Bigbear.

Go for something with the CVT or Belt type trans and a selectable differential so you can go 2 wheel, 4 wheel limited slip and 4 wheel true lock up. I think the 450 Kodiak would be a good smaller 4x4 quad.

If it doesn't fit in your truck get a small trailer or a different truck
